“Alright, that was a cheap joke. Okay, I admit it. And I’m gonna do it again, like four times in the movie, and I’m just gonna apologize up front. I like knocking Norse people out of frame. It makes me laugh. And I like things that make me laugh.”

I ordered a US copy of The Avengers - the full, full-on, blu-ray, 3D blu-ray, dvd, digital copy, downloadable soundtrack version - not because grr censorship*, mostly just to get the Whedon commentary. So of course, the moment it arrived, instead of spending my evening watching the damn commentary, I spend it battling the labyrinthine procedure of attempting to download a US-only digital copy from itunes.
…which to be honest, was laughably easy to get round, although I apologise if someone in Manhattan starts getting blacklisted by Apple because I used their address.
And now it’s late, and I’m too tired to face 2 1/2 hours of even Joss Whedon’s dulcet tones, and besides, if I start yelling at my computer about the fucking cellist I’m going to wake people up.
…but at least I have the fucking digital copy.
*full disclosure: I totally bought a UK version to watch when I need to shore up my ‘Coulson Lives’ mentality.**
**further disclosure: I’m seriously considering ordering the Phase One boxset when they get it off the ground.***
***final disclosure: Yes, I do still live with my parents while failing to save for a mortgage.

"The creation of the team is not the happy ending. It is the beginning of something that is complex and difficult, and now I get to dig a little deeper. And maybe, while I’m digging, just twist that knife. And that’s exciting for me."

We know, Joss. We know all about your little peccadilloes.
